Cypherglass is proud to present our EOS block production infrastructure. Our infrastructure reflects our history and experience designing and implementing systems for some of the largest cloud providers and financial institutions in the world.

Our Facility

Cypherglass is proud to present our EOSIO block production infrastructure. Our infrastructure reflects our history and experience designing and implementing systems for some of the largest cloud providers and financial institutions in the world. We have implemented a Three Phase plan to create the optimal block producing architecture for EOSIO.

Cypherglass will continue to make massive investments in infrastructure as the EOS network expands in order to meet demand.

Phase 1 - Lab (Complete)

In order to keep up with EOSIO revisions and additions, we maintain a dedicated hardware lab in Portland, Oregon. This lab is a duplicate of our production environment, but separated in order to perform design and testing prior to rollout. This ensures that critical bugs are caught in our testing environment before they are pushed to the live network.

Phase 2 - Production (Complete)

EOS is being designed to scale to millions of transactions per second while handling large amounts of data for a rapidly expanding network. At Cypherglass, we've built our infrastructure around these network requirements to meet the needs of the fast growing EOS network.

Phase 3 - Multi-threading & IPFS (In Development)

With Phase One (our in-house lab) and Phase Two (our production infrastructure) complete, we are now designing Phase Three of the Cypherglass Infrastructure. With multi-threading and IPFS storage coming online on EOSIO by the end of the year, we are readying our next design that will have even greater capacity than our current primary production site.

Future Expansion

After Phase 3 is complete, we will continue to expand our capabilities to ensure we can keep up with demand as the EOS network scales. Cypherglass will continue to make massive investments in infrastructure as the EOS network expands in order to meet demand.

Built From the Ground Up

The Cypherglass Infrastructure Team's vision started with location and design. After consideration for natural disasters, scalability and design we partnered with DataBank, a leading provider of enterprise-class data centers. We built our primary infrastructure site in Kansas City, MO. The enterprise KC-2 Data Center provides always on availability with true 2N redundant power, dual 2.5 MW feeds from diverse power substations, dedicated N+1 UPS and generator backup.

Hardware

EOS is being designed to scale to millions of transactions per second while handling large amounts of data for a rapidly expanding network At Cypherglass, we’ve planned our infrastructure around these network requirements to meet the needs of the fast growing EOS network.

All of our nodes and support systems operate on highly redundant, enterprise grade hardware. This architecture is operated and maintained by the dedicated Cypherglass Infrastructure Team. We maintain full access and control over all Cypherglass hardware.

Compute - Purchasing the latest processors, RAM and storage is good, but with the high IO expected for distributed applications, we built for the future. With scalability in mind we’ve partnered with Cisco’s Unified Computing System (UCS) for our compute platform. UCS has set the standard for compute hardware and is used by 85% of the Fortune 500 companies. The UCS system allows us to easily add compute nodes dynamically, without causing impact to the existing production system.

Storage - Redundancy and scalability are recurring themes in the Cypherglass architecture, and our storage solution is no exception. Running on enterprise class Dell Compellent arrays, we have ensured the ability to scale by adding additional SSDs and spinning drives dynamically. Hot swappable multi-redundant storage means no downtime during expansion or drive loss.

Network - Our site is serviced by multiple internet providers through redundant hardware firewalls. All network connections are diverse dual path through redundant switching environments.

Application Layer - We operate a high availability, fully virtual environment. In the event of a server hardware issue our nodes will move to different hardware. As EOSIO evolves, we will be ready to add additional nodes.

Secondary Hot Site

We maintain a secondary hot site in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the DataBank MSP2 datacenter. In the event of an incident at our primary KC-2 site, our MSP2 site will accept and process transactions.
